🚧 MONDAY MORNING MAYHEM 🚧
Presented by Builders Construction / Sponsored by Aggieland Home Inspection Services

A new week brings several active workstreams across Bryan, College Station, and Central Texas. The update is straightforward: San Jacinto is moving through revised site requirements, 1860 North Freeway is preparing to move into production, the Historic Ursuline Drive Project is entering another important installation phase, and third-party inspection work continues separately through Aggieland Home Inspection Services.
Here is what moved last week and what is planned for this week.
Last Week / In Progress
San Jacinto – City of Bryan
Last week, the San Jacinto project received confirmation from the City of Bryan on the requirements for closing out two existing driveways. The team met again Friday to work through the remaining site requirements.
An additional scope has also been added requiring approximately 70 feet of new sidewalk. The revised site plan is being finalized this week and prepared for final approval.
That kind of adjustment is exactly why site planning has to stay active through the approval process. Driveway closures, sidewalk requirements, access, and final site details all need to line up before the work can move forward cleanly.

1860 North Freeway
Last week also included a meeting with the engineering team on the dockwell project at 1860 North Freeway. This week, the focus is on finalizing both the engineering agreements and the client construction contract.
Once those documents are executed, production begins on the service-base cabinetry and coffee bar, along with the warehouse electrical and lighting work.
The 1860 North Freeway project and San Jacinto are expected to run concurrently. That means coordination matters, not just between trades, but between schedules, decisions, materials, and the people responsible for keeping both projects moving.
Plan first. Build second.

Third-Party Inspections
On Tuesday, another round of third-party firestopping inspections is scheduled at the high-rise.
These are inspection services performed by Aggieland Home Inspection Services, a separate third-party inspection company. They are not construction work performed by Builders Construction.
Field inspections also closed out last week on the new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting station at Easterwood Airport. Final reporting is being completed.
Keeping these roles clear is important. Builders Construction is the contractor and construction-management company. Aggieland Home Inspection Services performs separate inspection services. Larry Daniel’s inspection background supports an inspection-informed approach to construction quality, deficiency recognition, and structural observations at Builders Construction, but the two companies remain separate.
Water-Well Test
A water-well test is scheduled this week. It is another item on the active schedule that requires planning, coordination, and follow-through alongside the other project work.
This Week’s Plans
The week ahead includes several specific priorities:
- Finalize the revised San Jacinto site plan and prepare it for final approval.
- Execute the 1860 North Freeway engineering agreements and client construction contract.
- Begin production on the 1860 service-base cabinetry and coffee bar once the agreements are executed.
- Start the warehouse electrical and lighting work at 1860 North Freeway.
- Continue running 1860 North Freeway and San Jacinto concurrently.
- Complete Tuesday’s high-rise third-party firestopping inspections through Aggieland Home Inspection Services.
- Continue final reporting from the third-party field inspections at the new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting station at Easterwood Airport.
- Perform the scheduled water-well test.
- Install the fabricated steel column at the 1902 historic home today.
- Continue exterior preparation and painting at the Historic Ursuline Drive Project.
- Coordinate with BTU, which is expected to install the underground utilities this week.
- Hold meetings Saturday and Sunday with private-equity investors regarding several potential projects in the Bryan/College Station area and Waco.
Historic Ursuline Drive Project
At the 1902 historic home, the original header assembly has been replaced with the new glulam structural assembly. A fabricated steel column is scheduled for installation today.
The majority of the woodworking is complete. Exterior preparation and painting are underway, and BTU is expected to install the underground utilities this week. The project is targeting roughly two more weeks to completion.
This stage brings several different types of work together: structural installation, historic woodworking, exterior preparation, painting, and underground utility coordination. Each item has its own requirements, but the schedule depends on how well those pieces fit together.

Looking Ahead: Investor Meetings in Bryan, College Station, and Waco
Meetings are scheduled this coming Saturday and Sunday with private-equity investors regarding several potential projects in the Bryan/College Station area and Waco.
The Waco discussion includes the potential project represented by the conceptual floor plan below.

These meetings are part of the early process for potential work. They are not completion announcements or active construction claims, and the floor plan is not presented as built, permitted, or approved. The purpose is to review potential projects, understand the opportunity, and determine what needs to happen next.
Builders Construction and Aggieland Home Inspection Services
Builders Construction is the contractor and construction-management company handling construction projects, renovations, coordination, and quality oversight.
Aggieland Home Inspection Services is a separate company performing third-party inspection services, including the high-rise firestopping inspections and the field inspection work at the new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting station at Easterwood Airport.
The distinction matters because inspection and construction are different responsibilities. Builders Construction uses an inspection-informed perspective to recognize deficiencies, evaluate existing conditions, and support quality assurance. That technical background strengthens construction oversight without changing who is performing the contracted inspection work.
Key Takeaway
This week is about controlled progress across several fronts: final approval preparation at San Jacinto, contract and engineering execution at 1860 North Freeway, concurrent project scheduling in Bryan, third-party inspection services through Aggieland Home Inspection Services, structural installation at the 1902 historic home, and new project discussions extending into Waco and the broader Central Texas region.
There is no shortcut around coordination. The work moves forward when the plans, agreements, inspections, trades, and decisions are handled in the right order.
